These are divided into core and optional programmes.

Core Programmes complement and are in tandem with the formal curriculum and they develop core lifeskills (link to list of lifeskills). These are generally characterised by mass participation of an entire level with a high percentage funding by the school's budget. This is to ensure that every pupil is able to experience a basic and foundational set of activities that will add to their holistic education in the school. Core programmes can also be arranged for target groups to meet their basic training needs to carry out their tasks.
