Financial Assistance Schemes and Bursaries |
Primary Division
Under this scheme, citizen pupils would be eligible to apply if the family's gross income per month does not exceed $1,500 for families with one or two children and $1,800 for families with three or more children. There is also a full waiver of standard miscellaneous fees and 75% waiver of of exam fees (effective Mar 2006).
Secondary Division
Independent Schools Bursary Scheme
Under this scheme, the Ministry of Education will provide for financial assistance of 33% to 100% of school fees to eligible pupils ( Singapore citizens only) as follows:

Primary Division
The Primary Division has a Financial Assistance Scheme Fund to assist needy pupils whose families' monthly incomes exceed the Ministry's criteria to qualify under the MOE Financial Assistance Scheme. The assistance can take the form of monthly allowance, transport expenses and paying for purchase of books and examination fees.
Secondary Division
The SCGS Endowment Fund assists needy pupils by giving a monthly allowance to provide for their pocket money and transport expenses and paying for the pupils' books, examination fees and compulsory enrichment programmes.
The Fund also has a school fees subsidy scheme for Secondary School pupils from families with monthly income exceeding the Ministry's criteria to qualify under the Independent School Bursary Scheme, but who are in need of assistance due to special circumstances.
